Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PushPilot collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our service. The service includes the WordPress plugin and the Console platform available at pushpilot.in.

By using PushPilot, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

PushPilot is operated by the PushPilot team. We provide a push notification service for WordPress website owners. For any privacy related questions, visit our Contact Us page.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to two groups of people:

  • Customers — Website owners who sign up for a Console account, install the plugin and use our service to send push notifications.
  • End Users — Visitors to our customers’ websites who subscribe to push notifications through the subscription prompt.

If you are an end user who subscribed to notifications on a website that uses PushPilot, please also refer to that website’s own privacy policy as the website owner is responsible for how they manage your subscription.

3. What Data We Collect

From Customers (Console account holders)

  • Name and email address provided during account registration
  • Website URL linked to your license
  • Payment details processed through Cashfree Payments. We do not store your card or banking details directly. All payment data is handled by Cashfree.
  • Aggregate subscriber counts linked to your account for the purpose of enforcing plan limits
  • Usage and analytics data including notifications sent and feature usage within the Console

From End Users (website visitors who subscribe)

End user subscription data including FCM tokens, browser information, device type and location data is collected and stored directly on the customer’s WordPress server. PushPilot does not have direct access to this data. We only receive aggregate subscriber counts from the plugin to enforce plan limits.

4. How We Use This Data

Customer data is used to:

  • Create and manage your Console account
  • Process payments and issue licenses
  • Enforce plan limits based on aggregate subscriber counts
  • Provide customer support
  • Send important service related communications such as license expiry reminders and updates

End user anonymous data is used to:

  • Deliver push notifications to subscribers on behalf of our customers
  • Generate aggregated analytics for our customers such as delivery rates, failure rates and device breakdown based on anonymous counts
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the notification delivery system

5. How We Share Data

We do not sell your data to any third party.

We share data only with the following third party service providers who help us operate the service:

  • Google Firebase — Used to deliver push notifications. FCM tokens and device data are processed by Firebase on the customer’s server infrastructure. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Cashfree Payments — Used to process payments from customers. Payment data is governed by Cashfree’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics — Used on pushpilot.in to understand how visitors use our website. May collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited and time on site. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

We require all third party providers to handle data securely and in accordance with applicable laws.

6. Data Retention

  • Customer account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. Accounts remain active until terminated by PushPilot or upon your request via our Contact Us page.
  • Upon account termination, we retain account-level data including billing history and account information for 90 days, after which it is permanently deleted from our active systems. Backup copies may persist for an additional 30 days before being purged.
  • End user subscription data resides entirely on the customer’s WordPress server and is outside PushPilot’s direct control. Customers are responsible for managing and retaining their subscriber data in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Payment records may be retained for longer periods as required by applicable law.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These include secure connections (HTTPS), access controls and regular reviews of our security practices.

However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

8. Cookies

Our Console platform and website at pushpilot.in use the following cookies:

  • Session Cookies — Used to maintain your login session within the Console. These are essential for the platform to function and are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Preference Cookies — Used to remember your settings and preferences within the Console to improve your experience.
  • Analytics Cookies — Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised usage data on our website, such as pages visited and time on site. This helps us understand how visitors use pushpilot.in and improve our service.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Console platform.

9. Your Rights

As a customer, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

To exercise any of these rights, visit our Contact Us page with the subject: Privacy Request. We will respond within 15 working days.

End users who wish to unsubscribe from push notifications can do so directly through their browser settings or by clicking the unsubscribe option in a notification if available. For any other data related requests, end users should contact the website owner through whose website they subscribed.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our service is not intended for use by minors. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Third Party Websites

Our service integrates with third party platforms including Google Firebase and Cashfree. This policy does not cover the privacy practices of those platforms. We encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes via email or a notice in your Console account.

Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
